Now the pup is going for six months. He is still wanting to grab my shirt, pants, hands, foot. skin with front teeth, you get the idea. I use to chalk it up as the first greeting in the morning, and excitement, but I still think there is some aggressive behavior towards the handler, worst yet at my wife, on the few occasion they have meet. (Not a dog lover at all) I gave him a hard correction I thought, did not even faze him, I got the job done. but I don't think he learn the lesson. I want this to STOP. I am physical holding him off until he calms down, but I really think a lesson of a hard yank and grab is needed, would be my next step. I don't have much longer before he is seventy plus pounds. what say You? Oh remember my condition. Just a fact. Background, he is in the crate in the sun room most of the time, I take him out in the morning at least an hour and a half to two hours. I am poop after that. anyway we can do some circle tracking in the back yard, or front, after that he eats and we both go to bed. noon we play fetch in the yard mix with some OB, then he eats, I take him out again as the heat permits for at least thirty to forty five minutes, and then for a last time around eleven or twelve to relieve himself, we also have we time for about fifteen to twenty minutes until he gets rambunctious in the house either late at night or when the wife is working. what say you? He is a good dog, does the OB, under right circumstance, lay at my foot for a little while until I have to platz him again, aggressive to strangers, I can brush him all day, no fuss, we are cool in the woods, Loves the bite Plus I love him. What say you? Dan

The open mouth hellos tend to go away with most dogs on mental maturity. So... 2-3 years old for most.

I'm not a dog trainer.
My cattle dog pup tries that action about every 2-3 wks.
What finally worked for me was walking forward right into his space saying nothing.
He's bouncing around and I just keep coming forward at him, until he backs up and turns. Then he looks like, "Jeez, what's with you?" and turns away. Then I tell him "sit" and pet him.
That worked better for me than "no".
Your dog might be too much of a tough fellow for that treatment, others probably have a better idea.

Hi Lindsay, no this is my third GSD and the second working line. but as far as I can remember Ace, was not like Chico. he was more relax, maybe because he had the opportunity to find a club at an early age, Chico will be his second visit to a scutzhund club on the 31st. God's willing. Dan

Randy I will have to say YES, she does the screaming thing, plus the fast movement, and then the face to me. He love her as a pack member, but I don't know were he thinks she fits in, we have been on walks together, normal. He just abuses her if he gets a chanse, but he likes her. maybe more than me. she comes out during OB and it is over, like I said she is not a dog lover, can't take the liking and saliva on Her. So what should I do? Dan
