I rescued heidi from a family who couldnt care for her any longer. I was able to trace her breeder thru her ear tattoo and did get in contact with her. What I am seeking is any info on the dogs in her lineage. She is a paska grand daughter but I would like to know more about him and the others in her lines. I am new to all of this working stuff so I am just trying to learn. Her breeder is sending me her akc papers as her first owner ( i am her 3rd owner ) never sent them in. Heidi is 16 months old now and we are hoping to start schutzhund training tomorrow. Thanks for any info....

You will find that you have a very energetic but fun young shepherd on your hands with terrific working breeding and work effort. I just got my BH on Bella (your pup's original name was Babsy) and did so with full points. Her hips and elbow's have been A-stamped normal. Yes her breeder spoke of you. This is pretty awesome. Heidi/babsy has come to me unfortunetly with some bad habits and behaviours that we are trying to untrain. She is like a work in progress and we have just started our first schutzhund lesson a week ago. She is extremely engergetic and likes to pick on my pugs but otherwise a great dog. She has picked some basic commands and still tests me at times for pack order but thats to be expected...... LOL! Heidi looks just like bella almost to a tee. Unfortunetly her 2nd owner ( I am her 3rd) had her spayed. I would love to meet up with you and bella sometime.
Great to hear your response, there was a little pack order shifting as Bell's hit her year near year mark, but that settled down. These dog's imprint "extremely" fast and are "extremely" intelligent, I think you will have a blast working her, I have with her sister. I have used almost no compulsion with extremely good results, fair correction with reward. She does require alot of mental and physical stimulation, but thats been good for me.
