A friend of my husband's relayed some of the happenings at the local boat ramp.
Some drunk boaters were ready to leave the water. The driver backed their truck down the boat ramp to get their boat out of the water, he backed it in so far that the cab was flooded and the hood was just above the water. Their 100 beer cans and assorted junk floated away from the truck bed.
The next "winner" was the guy who had more boat than sense. He backed his monstrous new pontoon boat down the ramp and into the water, unhooked the boat from the truck, and his wife pulled the truck up and parked in the lot. Pontoon man proceeds to drive his boat around in the water near the ramp. He comes back to the ramp and tells the spectators "I think there's something wrong with my boat." He still had the boat trailer attached to his boat. ROLFLMAO
And away from the water and on to the livestock sale barn...
I bought 7 goats at the auction. Backed my trailer up to the loading ramp and handed the yard man my papers. He yells "PEN 80!!".
In just a few minutes another yard man appears, followed by my 7 goats, which are being herded along by the little 4 year old son of the owners. He was riding a dinky little bike with little (9 or 10" dia.) bright yellow wheels and zig-zagging to keep the goats going down the ally. At the top of the ramp he drops the bike and rushes down the ramp with the yard man to get the goats into my trailer, going "YAAA! YAAA! Pretty impressive! And what a funny picture!! This kid has been a fixture at the stockyards since he was born. (Placid is not a word I would ever use to describe him.) This is the first time I've seen him with a bike, usually he's playing with a whip. I might have to go more often just to watch the little goat herder.
