Going to Norman Oklahoma, need a kennel/dogsitter in Norman while I go to class, don't need a proffessional kennel just a fenced yard and a dog knowledgable person, if you have a room to rent that would be GREAT.
How long are you going to be there?
I'm too far away to help, but I might be able to find someone.
About six weeks, it's not going to be a lot of fun, 8 hrs of school and 16 hrs of wandering around the housing facility, worse on the weekends, but if I had Erika with me....
Dennis, I'm sure once folks see Erika's photo, they will be lining up to volunteer and host your pup... Really. OY. (AND I spelled it right this time!)
Dennis, here's a link for an AKC German Shep club branch in Norman. There are several folks listed as doing GSD rescue - some phone numbers there - maybe call a couple, describe your situation, and see what might turn up?

No doubt. You have any pics of her SLEEPING?
A dog has alot of friends because he wags his tail instead of his mouth.
Boomer Sooner! Hey I graduated from OU... I am assuming that is where you are going, if not Moore/Norman tech center (I taught there for 4 years)...
A good Vet in the area is Dr. Greg Emmert at Mcgee St animal hospital.
My wife knows a few people in Norman still that might do it.. I will ask her tonight after work. A great resource is to ask some of the students at OU. There are boards to post what you need.
Also you have to try http://www.royal-bavaria.com/ Great german food and beer... Also try to catch an Oklahoma game.. they are a lot of fun.. Even if you just tail gate.. Coaches on game day is fun too.
