Hi I was wondering how any members here would deal with a dog that growls and barks at strangers. The person has tried people the dog doesn't know coming in with treats to no avail. She is more toy driven than food driven.
It's not my dog and I haven't actually met it yet, so I'm assuming it is actually fear aggression rather than like guarding aggression.
It was a rescue dog and also had severe separation anxiety I'm told, so it obviously has bad nerves.
Any tips from people here as to how to fix this? Would be much appreciated

Hi, Frankie,
Third-party advice is not very effective or useful. Your friend should probably join here and post.
But I can at least point you to the many threads on desensitizing. Up on the top right of the screen click "search" (next to "active topics"). Now use "all forums," enter desensitizing as your term, and expand the date range from a week to maybe a couple of years.
