I'm eagerly awaiting it. I hear the fish being used is haddock which means hopefully the fat level is low enough that my boy can eat it instead of a rabbit based diet all the time. Variety is awesome

I did try to think of stuff that I regularly buy for $10.80 a lb. I honestly couldn't come up with anything. Even lobster here retails for less than $10.

Shh... Kelly don't say that so loud. I'm paying $5 ea for whole rabbit for Bodie.
I guess for me it was just a bit of sticker shock at $30 more than the next most expensive box. THK has never been cheap but it's always been at least affordable. If they are able to successfully market it at this price all the more power to them. It just won't be at my house.

I'm certainly not saying it's cheap, but for someone that has a dog with major allergies, this might be a viable option.
I just wanted to point out that there's a big difference between $10.80/lb and $2.51/lb and put it in perspective a little.
I totally understand Sticker Shock. I cringe each time I write out a check for Drift's monthly rabbit bill.(Triple digits always scare me)
I pay it cuz she gets the itchies on just about anything else. And, well, she's my dog. I admit it, I work to support my dogs. Paul eats Ramen while the dogs pig out on expensive rabbit dinners...

LOL!
You're right; I won't be paying that per-pound price for any regular daily food.
I'm not going to be spending a hundred dollars for a package, either.
But if they produce the size package I buy now from LB for my THK (a four-pound box) and if LB carries it, I'm thinking that it could be a terrific variety item.
I use THK as a kind of gravy to add variety, but this would add much more variety.
So .... thinking out loud .... I do think I would buy the smaller box and use the food as a variety source (as opposed to the basic food) ....
LB will have to carry it, though .... I already get stuff from LB, so I can justify it in my mind as "just adding a few pounds to the freight charge .... "
I have it all planned out .... I'll pack up half of it in a big freezer container and make damned sure I keep it really fresh. No way am I going to let something like that get rancid as I eke it out, 1/4 cup here, 1/4 cup there .....
