Kadi,
Thank's for your input. In truth I do not know. You are probably right.
She is a good little mutt but needs lots of exercise.
I'm always concerned that a person that adopts one of the rescues, who has landed here with us for a bit of fostering, is the right person for the dog, is kind and patient. I worry that the little dog will get adopted by an...
I know one thing about Sirah, she needs space and exercise. She needs a chance with a good person or family who can appreciate her antics and develop her abilities.
Again, thank you for your assessment.

In a response, commentary, whatever of my former post(s)...
Wow! I still have Sirah at the house. Still a 'foster' here.
What started out as just another foster has become a lesson in humility. When ever you think you are the brightest bulb in the marquee... Sirah.
She is a piece of work. Alone, a great little mutt. With other dogs, often a dominance issue. She is strong, and she has a mind of her own. High prey drive. And fast...
She came her last August - how times flies. I'm in no real hurry for her to be adopted, I guess. She brings an energy to the bunch - some times at a price. And she loves to eat paper... Can't figure that out.
Now that winter is showing more spring breaks we'll spend a bit more time working on stuff. Think I'll see if her nose is as good as I think it is. Maybe a little home-made agility stuff...
She's about a year old now... Yup, she's a project. But she's down at my feet as I type. And she makes me smile.

Hi Mike!
It must be a Mal thing....JD will shred paper towels, tissues, anything like that in a heartbeat. And he's silent and deadly when he's stealing it. Usually I don't even know he has it until I see him skulk away (his giveaway that he's got something in his mouth he's not supposed to have!) and hear the paper shredding.
And I totally know what you mean about the humility aspect. Just when I think I'm a step ahead of JD...yeah, well I discover I'm probably 1/2 step behind. Always keeps me on my toes but that's what I love the most - always trying to figure out something new for him.
I'm glad Sirah landed in such great hands. You're doing a wonderful thing.
D

She sounds so much like my pup!
Hope she finds a really great home. Is she becoming a permanant foster with you, Mike?

Good to hear from you, Mike! Miss your insight on the forum.
Sounds like the pup thought you were bored and wanted you to have something to do.
Good luck, and I hope to read more from you about this girl and your others. Check in more. Keep us in line.

Not highjacking, but.....
The paper shredding....NOPE, not a mali thing at all!
My male is one of the sneakiest paper snatchers around. Poof & it's gone. He doesn't eat it just shreads it into a neat pile.
He especially likes paper towels...and....he's 100% W/L GSD.
Good to see you here Mile. We've missed ya. Good luck with the pup. Sounds kinds like a keeper, to me.

Then with a Mal/GSD cross (suspected) Mike has no hope of ever seeing paper alive
