My best friend has a pit/standard poodle mix named MJ, who was attacked by two other Pits and became aggressive toward other dogs as a result. Her next door neighbor has a standard poodle and kept insisting on bringing it over to my friend's house, even though my friend warned her not to.
Sure enough, a few weeks back, the neighbor came over with her dog while my friend was across the street helping a neighbor capture feral cats for a spay / neuter program. She stuck her head in my friend's door and called her name, and MJ lunged through and attacked her dog. In the course of breaking the two dogs apart, the neighbor was bitten several times.
We've had the same thing happen while camping. The camp ground rules state that all dogs must be on a six foot leash, but sure as shootin' someone allows their dog to run free. Even after warning neighboring campers that our dog is aggressive, they STILL let their dogs run around free. They don't really understand until my dog tears into theirs.
I'm trying to figure out what it is about people who are warned about an aggressive dog, but think the rules don't apply to them.
Sophie, Daphne, and Farkus the Cat.

For aggressive dog, I will keep my eye on them.
Even it's my dog.
And if someone has been told not to go near my aggressive dog, but they ignore it there is only 2 options available for them.
Deal with me or deal with my dog. But I wont put my dog in risk so pretty much they have to deal with me.
Dog is like your child. You protect them.
Rules never apply to my dog, but anybody who visit my house. They should follow my rules otherwise they can leave my house. It's including not to pet, calling, or giving my dogs any command.

It never ceases to amaze me...I had a party at my house a few weeks ago for my daughters engagement. After a few hours I brought the dogs out to do their business and kept them in their run so their could be no issues. People can see them but no touching.
Of course like any party there is always one jerk who drinks a little too much and says stupid things. This one guy was insisting that he bring his Pitbull to meet my Pitbull because they would become the best of friends.
I tried telling him that my dogs can have issues with other dogs. This guy followed me around for over an hour bothering me with this nonsense. he was insisting that our dogs would not fight. He wouldn't leave it alone.
Finally I asked him if he spent any time with his dog before he came to my party. He said yes. I then asked him if he wanted to go into the dog run and see if his dogs scent would trigger an aggressive reaction in one of my dogs.
5 Minutes later he was gone. All we can do is try to educate people.

Not to pet? Are these hardcore guard dogs?

I don't see the point why they need to pet my dog.
If they need something to pet, I recommend them to get their own dog or get boyfriend or girlfriend for them to pet.
Not hardcore guard dog but I don't want my dog to see other people as pet machine.
I say that because I have one dog that does that.

Sounds like you enjoy saying that to people.
No one 'needs' to pet a dog and the way you are wording this just sounds weird.

Worded unusually, maybe, but I too prefer that my dogs not really be touched much by others.
One big thing is that one of my dogs doesn't like it. I have no reason to allow him to be subjected to something that he will put up with, but makes him visibly uncomfortable (even with people he has known for years), so I say no.
(One of mine is a total slut, who will flip onto his back like a starfish if anyone even wiggles a couple of fingers, praying for a belly rub. Not that much I can do about him, who was like that when he came to me.)
But the real point for me, I think, is that I pretty much want my dogs to interact mainly with me, or at the very least, on my say-so.

BTW, I have learned that petting is not at all something that all dogs enjoy. It took me a long time in my younger years to recognize that individual dogs have differing opinions of what is pleasurable or rewarding to them. Giving one of mine a caress or a pat for a good job is not at all a reward for him. In fact, if it's not (1) food, or (2) praise (a trailing second choice), it's not a reward to him.
Whatever the "currency" is for the individual dog, I'd rather that I give it. (Again, I make exceptions for the belly-up guy).

My favorite story along these lines was the guy who let his mini pin run free, and I warned him to keep it away becaus emy dog was dog-agressive. Sure enough, the mini pin starts to run at us, Sutter starts to snarl and raise his hackles, and I get a nasty comment to "Get a dog you can handle, Lady."
He might have been making a ruckus, but he didn't leave my side or pull the leash.
