since I have posted. Update:
Hambone is doing very well at not attacking dogs. One reason is he is 12 1/2 years old now, but also, he looks to me when a dog challenges him or he finds one that he thinks needs 'taking down'. He is my sweet boy still. His hind end is getting worse due to spondylosis, but he still keeps going.
Lucy is doing very well. Fear biting is almost gone, her nerves are steadier, her people skills have improved, and she is no longer afraid of the dark. She is almost deaf, so I have had to make some changes on training, but she is eager.
I cannot find a training club near Columbus, IN. I really want to put her into a tracking class. I can do simple tracking training, but really want to do it right. I will keep looking.
You all have done so much to help me help my dogs and I am soooo proud of them. They both are a pleasure to take in public and have at home.
No fighting between the two and both are better around my grandson, but caution is still exercised. They are not allowed loose around him and only quick sessions of petting. Then, put away the dogs and have fun with grandson.
I hope to find time to post more often and get back into this wonderful website.
Take care all of you and thank you all again!
