That's actually a beautiful collar. I especially like the cover for it. I get tired of people thinking my dog is violent just because he's wearing a prong. I don't get how they can think my dog is horrible when he's minding pleasantly and happily on his prong while their's are lunging and choking on a choke. But, what do I know?
If you find out more about that collar, I would be interested to learn more. My dog's have coats similar to Koenig's coat.
(How is he doing anyway?)
I found another site that sells covers for standard prong collars. I'll dig up the link and give it to you. When I do get a prong, I think I'll get the cover as well. It was relatively cheap, and I live in the middle of a city. Walking always runs us into a lot of people. We get a reasonable amount of attention because people can't figure out what kind of dog Koe is. I don't want to get criticized because there are SOOO may people out there who think prong collars are evil, or only for aggressive dogs!
Koe is unhappy about the food. He thinks I don't love him as much as Sara! (Although she just walked over to his bowl intending to finish his rice, and he decided to go eat it instead of giving it away)
Here it is- I can't find it sold separately, but it's an option to add to prong collar orders.
Something simple is to just sew a cloth into a tube the length of your collar and slip it through. Use an old tee-shirt or something that blends with your dogs coat.

I know this is completely off-topic in this thread, but very quick comment: I wouldn't let there be even a remote possibility of another dog having the opportunity to take the dog's food. JMO ... not even the impetus to finish the despised rice after all is worth him starting to perceive any chance of his food being at risk.
They are fed at the same time, at different ends of the room. Both dogs normally scarf up whatever we give them, and all is done. Koenig happened to NOT finish his rice (cause he's pissed thats all he gets!) Sara just went over to his bowl, she knows better then to touch it. If they ever have any food left, and we are leaving the room, bowls go up.
Back to prongs, have any of you ever used that funky prong collar I posted the link to? I've never seen one. Wondering what you thought of them.
I'm not really concerned with the strength of correction. He's not a soft dog.
Have you ever had any trouble with that buckle prong coming apart more often then the 'normal' prong? I see that Leerburg sells it packaged with a DD collar.
