Hi everyone, and dear friends. Last Saturday I had a good work out with Chico, (I was like 21 years old) in the OB portion, just to get his attention on me after rewarding with the ball, I was running and making all kind of gestures with my hands and voice. That was so he would not go flat on me looking at other people and dogs in the area. In the protection section I was holding on that long line like I suppouse to do, (be the post), if I was healthy. Anyway, Chico put on a show of good grip time after time, so the helper kept working him, God knows I was ready to quit.
To make a long story short as possible, on the way back home I felt that awful pain coming. It was in my back , neck, and leg. Sunday morning I even had to call an 800 number that is how bad I was, and close to returning my Chico.
But here comes a surprise, I got a call from my training director, I just knew he was going to offer a price. Nope. He said to my delight, You have a good dog, let us work with you and Chico on your disabilities so you can do the work. Meaning poles with bungee, plus my scooter.
Made me realize once again, I am surrounded by lovely people here and there. Even thou you guy's were not there, I thank you all for instructing me, on the downside for me, of a second dog.
I hope you all that help me get a chance to read this note, (smile). because you give me the know how and the working of solutions that we all might need. So a big thank you to all. (I don't know you all, but you do.) Thanks, Dan

Elaine also it speaks volume for that individual. I have only join that club about two months. We do have a good thing going, it's relax, good conversation, jokes, but most of all training. Dan

Hey Dan, this is sooo nice to hear. Sounds like you have a great trainer who sees the potential and talent in BOTH you and Chico! Awesome... simply awesome.
Does this mean you have reconsidered and are going to just stick with Chico at this time and wait on a second pup?
I also wondered about the stars on the title, but don't know the answer.
In any case, I'm happy for you bro!

Aimee Thanks, I once again feel like superman, just that Kriptonite is so close. the pain is still there right in my neck which is the vulnerable part, just not as bad. so I take care while training at the house. I am giving my body some time to heal. Thanks Aimee

Hi Sis, so good to hear from you. the answer to both question is yes, affirmative, any description I can use to mean positive. Oh! the trainer blew me away, He went to Argentina to help train some dogs, so he mention "do not do nothing hasty until I get back" Also mention to take a week off. Just to heal. He is A OK in my book
I am only having Chico, until he matures at two, then see....OH! listen, icing on the cake, my breeder who I bought Chico from said" I will take him back, it is my responsibility for any dog I bring in to this world" That rock my world, good people all around me.
Chico is awesome and mischievous at the same time. He is spending more time outside, so puppy prove everything. How is Falcon? I haven't been on as much to get updated, when this pain hits, I am down for the count. Hope all is good news Barbara. Dan

Hi Dan!!
I hope you feel better soon and are able to get back to training and enjoying being with your dog. We all need some time off once in a while!!
It really sounds like you have a great bunch of people there helping you with Chico. I am glad that you don't have to give him up.

Oh, the stars... they are ratings that your fellow forum members have rated you. If you click on a forum member's name, then click on "view profile" you can rate a user. Generally, the more respected a user is, the more stars they have. I think it only goes up to 5 stars.
