Also, I don't believe anybody in Oklahoma City protested any new Christian Fundamentalist churches breaking ground near the fed building.
And for those who think 'it's distastful' for a mosque, or community center or whatever to be built near the site of the crime, how far, exactly, should the muslim-free zone extend?

There is a Halal meat truck ,with a rather long line, pretty close to ground zero. Last I knew it was still there.

Freedom of choice , even to make a poor one - that is kinda critical in my book. I doubt too many of the folks in the Towers would have opted to stay, given the choice by those sadistic, evil 19 muslims. Just saying...

I'll bet not. I'll bet the site itself is still a commercial enterprise, and privately owned (ahem, nothing wrong with that) by a very wealthy individual. But has it been claimed as a national sancuatry other then by a few self interested politicians?
So just how far is this imaginary boundry to extent.
