I have to say that I have been slacking on training with my little girl. Everything that I taught her she has done pack. I know there is things that I need to work on her with such as duration, distractions, and the command look. But I work on that with her every day in daily activities and just wonder about new ideas for new things. So far she know sit, lay, wait, pull, look, beginning bite, drop, out. If anyone has any ideas please share.
Actually funny story with possible tracking lol. I been working with her the past couple weeks holding money to her nose repeating money money money to associate the scent of it. Then after another two weeks I am going to see if she will pick it up out of a group of toys. But wonder how to train to seek or find something other than telling her to "get". When she brings a toy outside and she leaves it we tell her get, toy and she goes and gets it and brings it inside. I just wonder if thats the same or no. And Dennis Barbara mentioned you name about a sort of local breeder that has great working lines with possible solid blacks. Is this true?
I live in Winchester. I have a female that is ten months and hopefully next spring would like to have an addition to the family. I would love to have a male. Barbara mentioned that you have great pups.
She know night for mat and back because she like hounding the door so she steps back when i say back and then i tell her to sit until i walk out the door first.
My problem is not coming up with something to train-it is training one thing at a time and figuring out how to best get it across to my dog what I want her to do...
