i found this kind of an interesting subject because i think its happend to all of us at least once.. ive even had it happen to me when i went to the off leash area of the state park i hike in. any way i am kind of wondering what would make several dogs team up and attack people like this? wouldnt there have to be some territorial motivation or somthing? i may be soft but i hate the idea of killing dogs even if they are attacking me; ive really had a problem with it because the way i look at it if my dog gets into trouble then hes gonna have to get himself out of it too, however its never came to a point where its life and death for my dog.
as a side note what kind of dogs attacked you that night andy? if it was you and your rottie vs 3dogs id think they would also have to be more than your avg street cur to be a threat? i dont really know ive never owned rots b4 but my APBTs have never let me down even vs several other dogs. thats not to say i let them fight but usually its over quickly enough.
