Did anybody else see this show? It featured a Dog teaching other dogs how not to be dog aggressive.
They had an Shilo-Shepard (it looked like) teaching other dogs not to be animal aggressive. The dog with a problem would be muzzled and placed in an area where it meet the Shilo and by their reaction the Human Analysis would determine the problem. No matter how close the other dogs got to the Shilo he just remained calm and still. Until the aggressor walked off, then he slowly followed until the session was over or until the aggression subsided.
The human analysis would make adjustment to the socailze training session to the point were the animals could be around each other without the muzzle showing no aggression. No matter how many strange dogs were around. I found this a interesting show, reversing the poor socailizing skills that the owner's failed at. Did anybody else see this show? I wondering what is your opinion of this show ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
Yes, I saw this show a few months ago. I forget what channel it originally aired on. The shepherd had a docked tail, correct? He was a long hair and did look like a Shiloh. I can't remember if he was intact or neutered. I don't have enough experience to say whether this method was the right way or the wrong way to change the other dogs' behaviour. However, there was no dought that these dogs were changed for the better after their lessons with the shepherd.
