As just about everyone on this forum knows, I am a HUGE advocate for adopting senior dogs. The frosty muzzles call out to me and it is hard for me to resist.
I am disappointed in myself because until today, I was not aware that November was Adopt a Senior Pet Month. Had I known, I would have advocated even more for the ol' Frosties.
I found this nice little article on the benefits of a senior dog, and thought I would share it. I am happy to see others also believe that Frosty Muzzles ROCK!!!
So, if you all could humor me and read the article, I won't feel so bad about not knowing about Adopt a Senior Pet Month...
Love the frosty muzzles! When my current frosty muzzle Tessa goes to the great hereafter - hopefully not anytime soon - I will try to always have an adopted senior in my house. They bring such joy. Unfortunately Ms. Tessa does not take kindly to newcomers ;-)
I ADORE my old girl, senior dogs are really something special and deserve so much love.
We have had some challenges such as learning to make sure she knows we are talking to her, and having to keep all bread in a bread box or the microwave... since in her old age she has decided she can steal and eat it. But at this point in her life I just giggle and deal with it.

My last frosty muzzle was like that. A 14yr old GSD/Rotti mix. He was SOOO well behaved as a pup/young dog. Once he hit 12, the normal house rules no longer applied to him. (he even 'ran away' once!?!) Oh well, what're ya going to do. Love those seniors.
