Don't know how much they want for this poor girl but it sure makes me mad to see such a beautiful dog in a cage. And just because of AKC it can be sold at a high price.
Ughhh craigslist makes me sick. I can't even look at the pet section anymore..it makes me too sad. It's just full of backyard breeders and homeless animals. That is a gorgeous dog..hopefully she will find a better home.
Theres not much to think of really. Its cute, its Christmas and when its not cute or Christmas anymore they can dump it at the animal shelter without even thinking about it.....sick
old age means realizing you will never own all the dogs you wanted to- unknown
We can only hope that they really did get good homes. Most people see the pictures of people giving lab puppies on Christmas and that's what they went for.
It could also be a scam...I have heard of people posting pictures of puppies for sale and having them send them the money and never receive the pup. Sick people out there...
I haven't looked at these links that were listed because I have banned myself from the pet section and craigslist in general due to the scams being played these days. I did however want to say something that goes along with what Elaine said. I've heard of lab testing facilities, specifically one in particular here in the SF Bay Area, that also pull free dogs from craigslist in order to do product testing on but it is listed as individuals doing tests on their personal pets.
It is just sickening to see and hear of some of the things that happen on craigslist. I used to read a lot of ads about rottweilers on the site that needed homes in my area. I have actually taken steps to adopt those rottweilers, but it has been a rough road where I was seeing dogs in horrible conditions or where owners just couldn't afford the care of the pets due to medical conditions. I obviously have a soft spot for rottweilers but have seen ads like these with all breeds. They are all listed as adoptions but in reality most of the time it is just someone trying to rehome a dog they can't handle or someone selling puppies. I wish they, craigslist, could control it better but it is up to people like us to flag and report the post which seem to be fishy. I'm glad it is still a small market here in my area as petfinder has picked up a lot of popularity but it still has an effect on some pets/owners. On this note, I guess it is time I start looking at the site again and start flagging ads as they come. Somehow I wish we can start a bigger movement and really prevent these ads but I also know that craigslist isn't the only site like this out there. Oh well, all we can do is slow down one site at a time. Sorry for the tangent but this topic sort of hit a cord.
