Two days in Vegas. Two days in Vegas and you will realize that the wafghan is the most normal, warm, comforting gift anyone can give to someone they love.
I've been to NY, Paris, Spain, Africa and all around the US... but this is my first trip to the stip... Nothing quite compares to Vegas. That is a good thing.
Today I saw a rather large man in a pair of tights with thigh high boots... a skin tight top with the center cut out to expose his belly ( :sick, a shiny brassier and a pink boa hat. At 10:00 AM.
I could only chuckle to myself and think "Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas anymore" and THEN the wafghan seemed so warm and normal. Made me pine for home.
I admit to loving the strange diversity, but also admit to longing for my quiet, peaceful little piece of paradise back in the boonies.
Haven't put one penny in a slot machine as of yet...
I love vegas!!
For about 3 days at a time though. We went for a full week once and I was totally fried by then end of it.
You can sit at those penny slots and play really slowly, while drinking for free, they will happily bring you mamosas at midnight, or a margarita at 10 am.
Spent some time in England on a trip to Russia. My girlfriend and I were in awe with the latest fashion crazes (at the time mohawks and chains). Rather scared actually but we decided when in Rome....
I'm blonde so we dyed a black streak down the center of my mop and spiked a mohawk. Her hair is jet black and we dyed her a white mohawk. Put on a few chains and mingled quite nicely in Picadilly Square. It was very empowering.
Have you thought about maybe getting decked out in your 10:00 AM friend's attire? You might be surprised!!
Try a beauty treatment, they have spas there to the max. Drive out to the desert, Death Valley is interesting. The Cesar's Palace mall used to be cool, the ceiling changes from hour to hour. Go to the Sports Book at Cesars and watch the horses run, it's really pretty. You can sit there and have a drink and make a bet on some longshots and see what happens. Hubby can bet the football.
When you come home, give yourself 2 hrs minimum at the airport. The lines there are absurd.
Merry Christmas to you!
Doug is in classes during the day and the thought of him coming back at 8:00 pm and finding me with black hair in a mohawk, in the garb the guy I saw on the street was wearing, maybe with a temporary tattoo and having been drinking all day by myself is kinda appealing... hehehe. Can't even BEGIN to imagine the look on the poor man's face!! (Although he is taking an advanced firearms course... I might need to be careful about just HOW MUCH I shock him!)

I knew you would come around. Don't fight it.

Is that what I need to do? Go to Vegas? And that really helps with Wafghan-desensitization?
Kristel, picuture a midget Elvis and an overweight man in a too tight Spiderman costume... and the wafghan. I passed both today but unfortunately not my buddy in the pink boa hat.
Which would you rather curl up with?
Yes, Vegas makes the wafghan extraordinarily normal.
Have you walked through the mall in Ceaser's Palace yet?
I love that place, not so much for the shopping (since Gucci is more than little out of my price range) but just for the sheer opulence of it all with the painted ceilings and giant fountains.
Have you been to any shows? Cirque De soleil is always neat.
