I suppose it would be nice while walking with a stroller (most strollers don't steer well with one hand). An out-of-control dog, especially a large one, could easily haul an owner into danger while on one of those.

Becca Fuentes Webboard User Reg: 05-03-2005 Posts: 146 Loc: Wyoming Offline	I've done walking with the baby in a sling (I papoose my babies), but always with a hand-held leash, and Sutter's been taught not to pull, mostly. With an attached leash, there is always the concern that he might pull me off balance and there is no give to the leash. Just like when I'm pregnant, having the baby in the sling changes the center of balance and makes even slight movements by Sutter, such as turning his head or stepping around a puddle or snowdrift, more likely to affect my balance. WIth a hand-held leash, my arm provides the 'give'. I'd never tether myself while carrying a baby.
