Hi guys i'm doing a lot more of my OB inside lately, and i was trying to think of some good distractions to keep it challenging for them. so far I'm using a few things i found helpful;
-odoriferous Food on counters, having him focus heel past it (my dobe can be a counter thief)
-i youtubed "spooky noises" and found some interesting sounds to play while we train
-my roommate has a large scary looking rat thing on his bookshelf for some reason and i have been putting that somewhere in the training area.
It would be awesome if i knew more people in the area to provide stranger in the home distractions that would be great. any other ideas or indoor training ideas would be more that appreciated.
Good question. I've been stuck in too because everything is covered in ice and we both took a header the other day and it has only gotten worse.
I leave the trash accessible and put coins in my dryer. I also train in front of my bay window where there is a large tree which has a couple of squirrels playing throughout the day.
Maybe I'm adding too much distraction because I just was working with him and he couldn't focus at all....so I ended the session (if you can call it that...30 seconds) with a rousing rendition of Ole Susannah which promptly put him to sleep. I feel so bad about not being able to get him a good run in that perhaps I'm doing overkill with the short motivational training periods...72 times a day.

Is he giving you that "oh, sheesh! Not AGAIN!" look?
