A probiotic primarily helps regulate the flora and fauna of the digestive tract. It adds live cultures that allow for replacement of anything that is affected by illness, "bad" bacteria and things like antibiotics that are prescribed for infections and aren't selective about the bacteria they kill off. Again, just my HNO (human nurse opinion) I'd be happy to hear whether or not this holds true in the dog world. Here Decoy, Decoy, Decoy!
