Decided to try and work both Helga and kaiser. They did better than I expected. Kaiser also surprised me by doing scent discrimination (pick my kerchief from a total of 6) in the middle of a lot of dogs. Forgot to film it. I think you could get more precision with something the dogs want like toy or food, obviously you fade this to a random and variable reinforcement schedule after the focus on you is a learned behavior. possibly get it more crisp with each dog, so they understand what your looking for separately and then bring it together. As for the ones reluctance to be pulled into position, again i think having something the dog wants so that the stress of compulsion is reduced by the drive to access what you have (food or toy.) otherwise the action of being pulled is going to only represent bad feelings. My dobe fooses with really tight precision because he refuses to take his eyes of me, he knows i have good things for him and once he learned that he was corrected for looking away in the face of distractions. this took a while and took patience, i worked this with my dogs on both sides like you did (I used easy and heel... foose for me is only for SCH) good luck, and jealous of that warm looking weather Rob

Almost like a lab in a dobe's body. Helga on the other hand is a proper dobe , constantly jumping about, super excited about every thing.

I can't get Falcon to "slam" his butt on the floor, but he DOES sit when asked - just slowly. My other dog, mixed breed, will have her butt on the floor before I hardly get "sit" out of my mouth.

LOL I don't know that labs are all deemed as "Slow"! Zuki is supposed to to be half that and she is ANYTHING but slow!
