So, I'm going on my 4th week of having bronchitis. 1 week off work that included a trip to OR in which I was sick the entire time. Came home, got antibiotics and cough syrup and spent 4 days in bed. Went back to work which included starting a new job. The cough is still horrible and I'm still exhausted. All I've been doing is working and then coming home, feeding the kiddles and going to bed. My husband has been great until this weekend. Now he's getting pissy even though he knows I feel miserable and don't sleep well at night which doesn't help.
Haven't been able to do much with JD, although I do some marker training from bed (working on "here" has been great).
My urge is to get out of bed to make hubby happier, but I don't really want to get sicker again. Next weekend is a 3 day weekend for me (yay!) and I want to go out to training on Sunday.
I've never been this sick for this long in my life. I'm frustrated and now I want to kill my husband. Maybe I'll just go out and mess up his beloved garage so he can spend the rest of the day out there reorganizing it
HELP!!!!!!!!
Ok, I feel better now

Leave high value rewards in garage such as beer and wings. Mark and reward any movement towards said garage with lots of praise and enthusiasm.

Maybe hire a sitter for a few hours to give your guy a break?
It is hard on everyone when momma is sick and the kids are probably getting on his nerves a bit too. Hope you feel like yourself soon, if not definitely let the doc know those meds are not doing the trick.

I understand!!!
I had the flu for two weeks and still don't feel back to normal. Those two weeks just happened to coincide with 2 major snowstorms and no school since Monday the 1st. So we were all cooped up, I had no energy and couldn't breathe or sleep because of the coughing, and he was to the point of doing jumping jacks in the hallway due to pent up energy.
He went to his dad's this weekend and it was one of the rare times I actually enjoyed the break.
I am spending today trying to dig out our living room, it looks a little bit like some wild animals took up residence in here while I was sick
The problem is that while I was sick I lost almost 15 lbs...unfortunately it seems to have been all muscle, My energy, strength and stamina are not anywhere close to normal yet.
But I have to get it done, we pick up our new sofa and chair next weekend and I want to get everything cleaned out and sparkling, as well as figuring out how to move the 75 gallon fishtank into the dining room without killing the fish or plants.

Honestly, I offered to do the Mr Mom thing full time, my sweet and wonderful wife said "Get your fat ass out of bed and get to work, you made all these kids and got all these dogs, get your ass in gear we're out of dog food and bread already..."

Fortunately we don't have kids to worry about, just the dogs so it's really not a big thing. Except JD's energy. Hubby goes out and gets on his dirt bike and throws his GoFrrrr ball for him and wears him out
I coerced a friend of ours to invite him out last night which helped. I think maybe he's just antsy for race season to start and wants to get his bike ready.
He works hard and I'm lucky enough that I really only have to work to support the dogs and my horse so I really have nothing to complain about.
I just wish he wasn't so crabby on the weekends

Maybe you have pneumonia. Perhaps you need a different drug. I'd go back in if you aren't on the mend by tomorrow.
I remember a period of time when I was sick as I ever have been caring for children and working, it was hell. The cough med is a mixed bag too, not coughing is nice, the hangover from the codeine and the bowel stoppage to boot makes it almost not worth it.
So, I wish you well! This too shall pass!

I'm gonna talk to my boss tomorrow and see if maybe I can go in to see my doc.
I'm thinking 3+ weeks of this is waaaayyyyy too long. It doesn't feel like I have pneumonia, but I've never had pneumonia so I really don't know how it would feel!!!! I just know I don't really have any trouble breathing and no wheezing.
I know that there is a bad bronchitis/pneumonia going around this year.
I agree about the cough medicine. I tend to take it when I get home from work so that I can go to sleep and not have too much of that hangover in the morning. My cough was so bad when I got back from OR that all I cared about was stopping it
At least I'm not wanting to poke my eye out with a sharp instrument anymore!
