Clearly his medicine he is on is working very well because my sweet lazy dog has turned into psycho puppy!!
Clearly he needs a new outlet for his extra energy!! Luckily this is the only couch hes allowed on and its a piece of crap up in our loft so we don't really care lol. But OMG its like I have a real puppy again. Only 90 pounds. He is being such a brat lately.
Lots of little training sessions and raw bones to try and keep him occupied. It's not working. Were going to have to start short walks and more structured obedience to to tire him out.
Hahahaha!! His new theme song!! He did do a pretty good job in such a short amount of time. I showed my husband all frustrated because I shouldn't have left him up there alone and all he said was "eh oh well, I hated that couch anyways" lol
Just wanted to add more of a little update. Took him for a short walk up the street to where they are starting to clear everything for new homes. Were in the cookie cutter style neighborhood but it was a nice open dirt field, no grass for allergies! Did some ob work and he did soooo well! His first real exploration since his injury, so that's a huge distraction!
On our way back we worked on focusing on me instead of getting worked up over the barking dogs at the gates. He did way better than I thought. And is happily back to his bed resting feels good to see him so happy!

Good work, Kristi! Even if he can't have the zoomies, just getting outside, getting those muscles working a little, breathing, following his leader, smelling the smells, working the brain .... all GREAT for promoting healing!
