This is a question for both indoors and outdoors - especially for those living with dogs who 'blow coat'. My fuzzy jackets are covered with dog hair. I keep wishing I had a big denim shirt with a fuzzy jacket lining - but light denim - so I can wear it in the house (very cold house). Kind of a sweater with a light weight denim shell. Has anyone heard or seen anything like this? Like a light weight denim padded shirt xl?
What are your favourite dog wrangling clothes? Not to mention packs and pouches... and footwear.

I just live with the dog hair covered comfy North Face gear. Couldn't be warmer, but could be more fashionable, I 'spose and less hairy. Sometimes I try to stay away from black fleece - since my dog is white. Wearing jeans is good since sweat pants and cords only pick up even more hair.

I'm pretty sure they have exactly what you are talking about in the LL Bean catalog. You could probably find it at Work n Gear, too. Though I would doubt they would have womens sizes.
I've just come to accept dog hair as part of my life. You will know you have hit that point when you see it in your dinner and eat it anyway.
My favorite stuff? I love my merrel light hiking boots. They are water resistant and not much heavier than a sneaker.
I also love having my housekeys on a clip. If we head out on a walk in warm weather and I'm wearing a dress or pants without pockets, I can clip my keys to the dog!

Carharts. I have been eyeing the padded overall or coveralls for a while. They'd be great for handling dogs at dog races, especially in the cold. Take a look at their padded jackets. They might be what you are looking for. Denim on the outside, quilted on the inside. They hold up to wear, and are well made.
Usually I just wear normal outdoor clothes to run the dogs. It's when I'm less active, like standing around at races, that I need to get the warm, outdoor work gear type stuff. It's just really not in the budget right now. Oh, and those chemical hand warmers are indispensible. I try to always have some spares in my pockets.
And one added benefit, is that the light beige color of Carhart gear would match Jethro's fur color. (shepherd fur- at least mine, also comes out lightish gray once shed). So you'd match!

I second the Carharts. Mine is too heavy for indoor wear, but is PERFECT for outside in the fall/winter/spring/summer early mornings.

This is what I have. It even was gracious enough to fit me through a pregnancy.
I also can't live without this treat pouch.

Those are my 2 must haves. On long walks, Koenig gets to wear

Stuffed with whatever I think I might want/need, his toys, and a little extra weight, just for good measure, and to insure a tired dog.
Someone mentioned Merrel light hiking boots, mine are along the same lines, but made by Keen. Have a higher ankle then tennis shoes, but lower then 'real' hiking boots. Lots of support for klutzy me, comfy, and light. Waterproof does not hurt up here in the NW, either! In the summer, I can't live/train without my Chaco sandles. I know most people won't train in sandles, but I love em.

I'm always looking for a giant-pattern tweed in fawn, black, white, gray, and black-and-tan. All in one garment.
And of course the accessories:

Thats what we are going for, when we're out working/playing/training with our dogs, right Connie? I know it's always the first thing on my mind.
I never worry about having all the necessary toys/leashes/lines/tabs. Never worry about keeping track of 2 dogs, and 2 kids. Did I lock the keys in the house/car? Was his finish straight? Is he forging? He is chewing on the dumbbell AGAIN? Where'd Sara go.... crap.... lost the bird dog. Wait, where is the 3 yr old? Logan! Go find your sister! None of that stuff matters...
Fashion first!
...or not...

It doesn't matter. The bait bag is like a string of real pearls (like I know how that
is .. ): every ensemble is pulled together when you strap on the bait bag.

And don't forget the "parfume d'sardines". Truly completes the ensemble.
