I have been thinking that I have reach my limit of my experience with my pack. Yes, will continue with my club. But now that I see I have very good dog's and have some time to get my monies strait. To go to a reliable trainer in Germany for about a month
What do you say? my male father is from Javir talka Marda. and the female is from grandfather is Merlin von conforte ( Pedro). and mom is from Krafwerk line.
My pack is what is keeping me level. Please give me your experience, and impute plus I still have Michael.
Michael Ellis, not as a second choice, but happy to know he is there. I really need some guidance. Dan

I live in Germany... where are you going to try to go? I live in the Baden Wurrtemburg area... Heidelberg specifically....... Let me know where you're thinking..... Would love to hear. There is literally a club every 3 km ...... I haven't found one that I love, but my dog is very young, so I'm thinking about working with his breeder this spring/summer. Do you speak German?

I lived in Germany for more than 7 years...I looked for more than a year for trainers that didn't jerk the dogs all over the place with the leash...

Thanks Brian.... I have tried to relay this and ask for help.... but I usually get dogged hardcore.....
At 3 months old I went to a puppy class at a big school here in the BW area, that had come recommended by some americans I know as a good place to start your puppy, then continue on with SchH.... apparently the guy doing SchH had a good reputation. Anyways, there was a girl who was "quite good" there teaching the pup course, and my dog didn't sit the first time on command, so she stood over him ... JERKED HIS NECK UP WITH A HARD CORRECTION and then simultaneously with the other hand slammed on his back end. Her theory behind this was that at 3 and a half months old, at his first class with other puppies that he should listed or be forced down...
Then at a differend SchH club meeting, I saw a lady take her dog off the ground and flip it over with her corrections, and then proceed to kick the dog, pull it back up with the chain, and then of course straddle the dog and continue jerking and screaming.....
Then they wanted to know if I wanted to join the club and train with them....... Not for me........ I'll sure wait till I find someone that makes sense out of what they are doing. Till then, I'll just tard around

Thanks Danielle, I might speak enough to get me in trouble, I lived there for six years, a stint in Schwaback and also in Wiesbaden. You are right, maybe I was looking for that magic that I might find right under my nose. Dan

@ Dan... I have no experience whatsoever.... I was wondering if you had places in mind that you had heard about so I could check them out.....
I have been discouraged hardcore by seeing all of this. You know, I wouldn't be able to say one way or the other what is right or wrong, because I've never done SchH, but I do have personal limits on how I would ever treat a dog, and it doesn't include kicking them or having them perform backflips on a correction. Of course, I have seen a few really great dogs here, with super great handlers that I would love to train with but then I run into the language barrier. hahahaha.........

Dan, I've never heard nor seen (in all his videos) ANYTHING negative about Michael Ellis and his training methods. If you are at a point of needing or wanting some extra instruction, I can't imagine finding anyone better qualified.
That magic bullet might not be right under your nose but is sure could be a lot closer than Germany.

Why in the world would you be thinking of Germany when M.E. is here in this country?

I've considered bringing a German trainer to my dog but he wouldn't get into the crate
