My best friend "Rikka" a GSD passed away 1 week ago today.She was only 7 years old.My heart is broken and I love her so much.She was our baby and a wonderful, majestic protector,friend and a very important part of our family.I sleep w/her collar which makes me feel close to her..call me crazy..but it helps.

Everyone here has been through this (some of us more than a few times) and it never gets easier. We know your pain and I wish you peace from your loss.

I echo all the above Nancy...be very good to yourself -I found when I lost my girl this past April that nothing really took the edge off except time -as prepared as we might be as loving dog owners with more senior dogs -the loss is staggering. My heartfelt wishes for easy healing for you as you cope with the loss of your beloved girl..
