We have been actually neglecting our heeling, had to work on other things. But I did a lot of luring in heeling position with the head straight up (mostly to pass little fluffy dogs on the street).

NICE Ana....did you achieve the positioning solely with food lure? I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried a Halti for head positioning on the focused heels...??

I tried to follow the process as explained in the Heeling DVD: started with the lure for muscle memory, worked on focus from a stand, pivoting on the bucket, then added leash pressure.
To improve the head position so that he is holding the head straight up the reward is placed to the left and above his head. It's supposed to help
