Spring= mud and manure. Wiping off no longer cuts it.
The Pinker has become the Stinker.
What is your favorite dog shampoo for routine (it could be bi-weekly, at least on legs and belly). I have always just used super diluted dishsoap, it cuts the manure
well and rinses clean. But, I don't want him to become itchy, thinking I can probably afford some proper shampoo.....
Groomer recommendations? Our clinic used a Lambert-Kay product or FreshnClean, whose smell I'm not a big fan of.....

I buy it at the groomer store. *snickers*
Check your messages and I'll see if the magic snail mail fairies can send you a sample bottle from my personal stash. No sense in buying a gallon unless you're really sure it's the one.
Gets the stink/yuck out, and you can't beat the ingredients...
Lavender & Mint Buddy Wash Ingredients:
Coconut shampoo base, aloe vera gel, essence of lavender, essence of mint, chamomile extract, sage extract, nettles extract, rosemary extract, wheat protein extract (natural deodorizing agent), tea tree oil, vitamin E, vitamin C.
I'll confess, I use the Epi-Soothe Shampoo and Conditioner that I get at our vet's. I was having to bathe JD almost weekly during the summer and fall with his allergy to blackberries and it worked great. It also kept him from getting dry skin from so much bathing.
Started using it on our Rottie, too, who tends to have dry skin because of the low amount of fat I can allow in her diet (pancreatitis) and it really helped her as well.

That looks awesome, Is it moisturizing or do you need a conditioner with it?
I love Pet Head by Tigi, Dirty Talk formula. Best ever for stinky dogs!
If you are bathing often, look for something coconut based rather than a detergent. Its gentle enough for frequent use. It shouldn't strip the natural oil layer out of the skin.
There's also a cool product called The Stuff that is like a dirt and grime repellent. Makes clean up really easy. Just wipe off the dog and the yuckies come right off.
