I had been using BG (Before Grain) canned Green Tripe for convenience, as I don't have a freezer to dedicate to tripe.
I just purchased, & it is no longer Green!
First clue, when I opened can = it didn't knock me over!
It is now, 96% tripe, & white in color, & I know, not what I want for raw feeding.
I asked, after the fact, at the store & was told that there was a change with BG products, being now 90's% instead of the 100% of the past.
This store sells another "canned" tripe, but it looks to have more "ingredients" then the BG.
Now my delema, as I need a tripe source? But without a freezer for tripe, ???

Tripett is not sold locally
It's too bad you're not on Michael's wheelbarrow route.
Which now makes me think "aha! This totally explains the video of all the strays following after Michael! They heard where he goes and what he wheels out of there!"

Another question, 4 dif to choose from; anyone have a favorite?
Beef, Lamb, Venison tripe?
Off the top of my head, I'd probably choose one that the dog does not currently get the meat from, so as to increase variety.
(Of course, I would always reserve a couple of protein sources -- never feeding them at all -- against the event of a future elimination diet. Maybe I'd pick lamb, because they hardly get any, but they have had enough to make it not-novel, and it would reserve venison for any future "novel" need. Remember that "novel" is strictly individual!)

If I knew the logistics of how to ship and the legalities of shipping tripe across the US, you bet your ass that no member of leerburg would go tripe-less.

RATS! I just ordered two cases of beef tripe! Oh well, next order I'll get one of the other varieties for a change. I'm excited (for the dogs... not me) this will be our first tripe!
