You guys might get a kick out of this. When I feed the dogs they get all kinds of stuff with kibble. Sometimes it's an egg, canned pumpkin, sardines, Sara get apple cider vinegar, both get yogurt, fish oil+ vit E, Koenig gets a joint supplement + anxiety meds, and they always get the remainder of whatever veggies we have with dinner.
Tonight, I didn't think about what I gave them till they were already eating, and finishing up the CORN that the kids didn't eat. Well that was a stupid choice, Kelly! Beans, Broccoli, steamed carrots, whatever. They eat them all the time. We don't eat corn vet often (heck, it's not much better for us then it is for the dogs), and I just scraped it into dog bowls before I knew what I did!
WHOOPS! It won't kill em, but I felt silly. I go to such lengths to feed them the best kibble can find, then pour corn over it. Lol

Oh well. A little "junk" never hurt anybody. Mine eat a strictly raw diet--along with all the pizza crust, corn chips, pop corn, peanut butter from the knife, melted ice cream, etc. etc. they can scam. Food is 99% nutrition, 1% love.
LOL oh my...well my St. bernard wont touch raw meat..so he gets only cooked meat with his kibble..and everythign my daughter thows from the table. my pup on the other hand tried raw chicken breast the other day when we bbq'd. I thought before my hubby can stop me (organic chicken breast is kinda spendy) I'm going to slip a piece to Ace. well i didn't cut it correctly and when he grabbed the breast from my hand he got the whole thing! I instantly went to grab the last half but as soon as my hnad moved foward he swollowed. whole. gulp. no chewing..just slurped that baby down like an sea gull with a fish. To say the least he didn't eat break fast the next morning. yes he passed it just fine..but it took a while to digest.

Today when I was on the phone Rain hopped up on the table and ate a pickled egg. The entire jumbo size chicken egg thing. After I had a moment I decided the vinegar wasn't going to kill her and so far so good. Sleeping like a baby, at least these are salt free.
My dogs are also known to partake of a vanilla dairy queen cone in the summer time on our way to the beach.
I WAS trying to remember how large was this dog which jumped up on the table and ate a pickled egg... (:sick Our issue would have been the broken table NOT the egg!
