WOW. I just wanted to announce how glad I am to be here. I am so angry at the GermanShepherds.com website. That site has some Downright mean and unfriendly people on it. I literally decided I am not going there anymore. I tried to post some pics of my Female GSD who is 5 weeks pregnant. My intent was to show some progressive pics in the timeline that would detail the Gestational process. Two of their forum members latched onto my posting and began to defame me for breeding my dog!! They were Harassing, rude, unwelcome, and literally made it such a bad experience for me that I decided to mothball my account and leave it alone. I hope I have a much better experience here!

You definately will have a wonderful experience I believe -and we LOVE pics! I tried a couple breed specific sites also -and bailed as you did. There were some knowledgeable people of course -but you kind of had to wade through a lot of postings that just made you roll your eyes if you know what I mean...Leerburg is a cut above -WAAY above -in my opinion, and frankly I don't have time or need for other forums other than here and my rescue blog...
WELCOME!
I watch a cranky breed group. There are rarely any conversations, just "I'm reporting my dog has won XYZ" or "my 15 yr old dog has died", "here's a dog in a high kill shelter", that is 95% of the posts.
I know about the irresponsible breeders but when you do all the health screenings and you are a selective picky parent who agonizes over the choice of finding a good mate for your "dream dog" Then a bunch of people start flaming you for it (one of them works at the SPCA) and they are just attacking you for no reason it makes one pretty upset. Especially when you were just trying to post some pics of my pregnant girl on the internet for people to see
