My son and I bumped into one of his freinds today and used the usual salutation, 'Hi how are you?' and then he told us this;
His Mum and Dad were attacked and their Frenchie female, who went into labour this morning, was picked up by the back legs, screamimg as this pikey ran out of the door with her, Ashley's Mum breeds and shows Frenchies and this coward had already been refused a pup twice with another litter, because although the guy checked out on the phone, seemed knowledgable about dogs blah di blah, when he turned up at the house, they quickly twigged he was a pikey,(your equivalent of trailer park trash) Irish plates etc, and said they were unable to consider him at that time, he was clearly annoyed because he applied for a second time when this litter was advertised through the Kennel Club website, and was told no, sorry, again.
This morning at 8.30 he banged on the door, forced his way in, knocked Ashley's disabled Mother to the ground, hit the elderly Father across the head, swooped the terrified female of the floor by her legs and was rampaging through the house looking for the stud dog, ('yes of course you can see both parents! they are both Crufts champions!') she had proudly told them in that first conversation, he was still in his crate, seperate from the other dogs BECAUSE the bitch was in early labour.
That poor couple are suffering the tortures and guilt's of the damned, the mobile number he gave them originally was no longer available, and my reckoning is the 'thing' that took the poor dog, is on a ferry back to Ireland as we speak, the people are now convinced he will come back for the stud dog - oh, and the police said as it wasn't an emergency they would do their best to get out sometime today, they do have teenage boys drinking cheap lager over the playing fields to hassle after all!
I have always said I never had any intentions of breeding any of my lot, mostly because I know squat about it, and equally because I could not sleep at night wondering if the pup that had been loved, cherished and protected would end up as some poor brood bitch on a puppy farm, as I have no doubt this sweet little girl will end up on.
I feel so angry and useless and hope the dog is found safe and well, somehow I think that scenario unlikely.

I am going to speak to my eldest as soon as he gets back from work to see if there is any news, it has really got to us all in a big way, an unimaginable agony that these people are going through.
Ashley's father is riddled with arthritis after years of grafting his butt off, and he is a bear of a man with a lot of pride, now he feels so impotent and is raging with grief and frustration at his inability to save his wife from assault and his poor little dog from this maniac; Frenchies have become very popular of late, and with any breed that gains popularity through its good nature and portability, demand outstrips supply, these pups were priced to keep your virgin owner more inclined toward a rescue dog, however, there are plenty of people as you know who want what they damn well want and these scum will happily oblige and flood the market with cheap and unhealthy dogs.
I hate what humans all too readily do to animals for a quick buck, and dogs in this country are paying a big price for that greed, breaks my heart.
Will let you know if there is any news, and thank you again Betty for you kind thoughts.
Kind regards
Tracey

Wow, that is an awful story. That is one (among many) reasons that we NEVER invite people out to our house to look at puppies until we have had multiple phone conversations and are pretty darn sure they are who they say they are and are serious about getting a puppy. In many cases, the people never see their puppy in person until they pick it up! Of course, if any one were to grab one of my bitches by the legs and try to haul her off, there would be a pretty big bloody mess made of somebody!

I am just horrified at this. First of all, those poor people and that poor dog and her puppies! But this sounds like breaking and entering, or at the very least home invasion, two counts of assault and battery, and theft of personal property (which dogs are considered to be) valued well in excess of the amount required to make it a felony. And the police didn't consider it an emergency!!!
I think you're posting from England, Tracey, but the laws can't be that much different, can they? Underage drinkers are considered more important than the scenario you describe? Wow. I am just stunned. I hope by some miracle, the dog and her puppies are recovered safely.

Elderly folks & they were assulted & esentially robbed & the cops don't think that is a big deal. WOW, that's amazing.
Sorry for them. Hopefully this guy will surface, even if only to brag about his deed to someone & he will be found out. his location discovered & caught & brought to justice.
