I am thinking of buying a digital video recorder and was wondering what you guys are using for your dog vids or if you have any camera recommendations for inside and outside?
I'm looking for something simple that takes a pretty nice video and is pretty stupid proof.
My last recorder was somewhere around the time when dinosaurs roamed the earth and bag phones were the new great thing.
I recall hearing something recently about the Flip. Either the software or the hardware won't be updated and they'll be obsolete soon. I'd google that for you, but I'm busy.
Cisco is considering shutting down the Flip division. It would mean no software and support but considering it's an inexpensive camera that is the most popular camera in its class I would still buy it (find a good deal ?) if I didn't already have all we need.
We currently have Canon Vixia HFS10. It takes very nice pictures and HD video but it takes a bit of time to process it. I hope we won't need a new one for a while
And from my experience would NOT recommend it. It actually comes really highly rated on all the sites but I’ve had nothing less than a nightmare every time I try to download/upload anything. I was successful one evening (after hours and hours and hours) and don’t know what I did or how to do it again. If anyone has any tips or tricks I’m all ears.
Melissa, maybe I should just send it to you. It’ll bring you into the next century and you could take some fun pictures of it beside your older guys…. but have fun trying to get your video into a transferrable state. OMG… it drives me crazy. Makes big knots in my stomach.
Bob’s great with TV, dvd and stereo stuff but he hasn’t got a clue about computers and nor does he care to learn. Tuffy’s on his way and I still can’t figure it out.
Just a note: I was going to link to the actual Sony site but once I get into it, it's really slow to navigate around in. Didn’t want to cause any one the same grief I went through. If you click on the picture in this link, it shows more of the features.
