So I had a free afternoon and I was watching my sisters yorkie mix while she had her kids at the waterpark. She mentioned the dog needing a haircut when I picked her up. It turned out she was a matted wreck so I decided to have some fun while watching 127 Hours.

Sort of. I did a schnauzer face, clipped the body really short using a 5FC blade, and brushed out her legs and trimmed them up similar to a poodle lamb clip.
I wish you were “bored” at my place. Can I ask your advice on what you would do with this? It’s a daunting task this year.
And please disregard my conversation with the wonderful old gentleman – I couldn’t understand half of what he was saying but he seemed to enjoy nattering away to me.

Go to a wag and wash or a groomer and pay for a dog wash and blow out with a decent dryer. You'll come home with a dog 5lbs lighter. The other option of course is getting your own doggie dryer. Before you say I don't wash my dog that often... there are million uses for a dog dryer.
You know I’ve never really used groomers (other than Garrett last year) and don’t think about the fact there are people in the business to do just this kind of thing. I always plug away at it and what a chore.
I’ll book an appointment and if it goes well, I’ll let them take care of it. But you’re probably right; a blow dryer might be a good investment. They get two or three baths a years but enough work that the right equipment would probably be really helpful.
Echo’s a sweetheart and loves being brushed. I’m sure he’d enjoy the experience.
