I'm so proud of my dog. We went out to Aaron's club for the second time yesterday. Before applying to join this club, Koenig has been worked by 2 different trainers. One who applied far too much pressure, far too early in the dogs life/training, and another trainer who knows the breed, and has competed at the world level. (where we received excellent advice!!!!)
Anyways- 2d week out at this club, after several weeks off bite work, Koenig is on a trial sleeve, and just began blind searches. Only tried them twice (he was getting pooped). The first try he was ULTRA confused about the empty blind, and being asked for a revier. He barked a few times at me, and was obiousley confused. (he wasn't getting any action from the helper at that point) I helped him around the blind, and once he saw the decoy he figured out what it was about.
Second try, he flew around the blind, and SAILED to the decoy, and got a great bite.
For it only being the 2d time on a new field with a whole bunch of new dogs (and a in heat bitch) he gave me great focus in OB, and a good track.
I'm really enjoying the company at this new club, and the direction we get. I'm sick of trying to figure it out for myself, and bugging Aaron for help all the time. (thanks Aaron!) Now, I've got a very experienced TD to bother, and best of all, the training field is only 10 min away from my house! I couldn't ask for more!!!!!!!
That is so awesome Kelly! I have to say I have always been a closet fan of Koenig :-) I love the Dutchie breed and may very well get one someday. I fell in love with Yoda when he and his owner Glen came out and trained at our club :-) ( http://www.vomhauscrawford.com/yoda.html )
Ohhhhhh a Vrijheid dog!!! I'll own one someday. I've met 2 already, and have a online DS friend who has a Vrijheid's Aaron son. Can't beat them! (Literally!)
A club members dog had recently come into her first heat cycle. Provides a whole different level of distraction for the boys... Even Koenig, who is neutered has been known to take an 'interest' in females who are in season.

If I get a dutchie it will be from Vrijheid. Aaron is an awesome dog from what I have heard and seen in video/pictures and I would steal Yoda if I could :-)
What I love about Yoda was his dead solid temperment. He could literally be biting the bad guy one minute and than be mauled by kids (or well me!) the next minute. Very clear in the head.
Anyways, sorry to derail your thread! Back to the other awesome dutchie Koenig
