I have 7 GSD pups
4 weeks old.
Mum been on raw since 7 weeks
3 pups are walking around with crooked necks slightly to ground
1 pup much more noticable than the other 2.
All pups plump and looking good.
mum fine.
all pups in no pain what so ever.
Started weaning pups on to raw at 4 weeks with no problems.
Pups drinking water ok.
Pups peeing/pooing ok.
pups had no milk other than mums.
Mum fine feeding pups.
I noticed at 2 weeks 1 pup had slight bow/twist to neck.
So 3 pups with same symptons so somthing wrong.
Has anyone had pups with Thiamine deficency
Is it reversable?
Whats the best course of action?
would be greatful for advice emailed then I get it ASAP
THANKS
PAUL

no commercial dog food.
no fish
3 pups have same symptons so ruled out injury.
no pups in pain so ruled out hip/elbow/bone problems.
Thiamine deficency does not quite weigh up ?
but i need to do somthing before permanent damage done?
what i dont understand is they have only just started eating raw.
i noticed 1 pup with neck problem 2 weeks ago,
also mum is 3yrs and no problems.
can u get thiamine deficency through milk?

How did the vet diagnose thiamine deficiency? Not the symptoms. Tell us what test told the vet that it was thiamine deficiency, and what the vet said to do.
Did the vet do a blood test and hand you the result?
Also, what was the vet's advice? Did the vet give you anything?
