Well its been a long time almost a year since I last posted.
Just today got highspeed internet. I quit my job to take care
of my 94 year old mom last June. Sadley she passed away on
March 27th. Luna was a lot of help to me. I know, I can't believe
it either. I ofter wouldn't hear my mom call for me in the middle
of the night but Luna did and she would give me a few Kisses to
wake me up so I could take care of mom. We escaped Tornado
damage here in North Alabama but we were without electricity for
seven days. Luna hated the generator, flash lights, lanterns, etc
but we all made it through some tuff times. Me and Luna are
doing great. I hurt my back really bad trying to pick my mom up
and couldn't walk Luna or play her favorate game of ball for a
while, but she took everying in stride. It amazes me because you
all know I often referred to her as the "Puppy from Hell" she
drove me nuts, but now that she has turned three she has mellowed
nicely and I am so glad that I stuck with the advise I got here.

Thank you for posting this! I am feeling a little tired of Jethro's spike of reactivity yesterday and today. Its good to know that we should just keep doing what we are doing and he will grow through this adolescence.
I'm sorry to hear of your Mom passing away. I glad your pupdog can comfort you in these days.
Jenny: Thank you. Hang in there. Luna my now 3 yr old WGS was a
complete terror, from attacking me when we played ball, to constant mouthing in which I actually had to wear leather gloves,
to being just a big pain in the you no where. So glad those days
are long gone but it was trying. Things definately improve.
Love the picture.
Lynne: Thank you. Yes its been a long time since I last posted.
I can't believe what a sweet dog Luna is now compared to how
she was as a puppy and youngster. I even taught her to bring me
her food bowl after eating so I can wash it and get it ready for
the next meal. Of course she gets a cookie reward. She hated
if you touched her feet, ears, or wanted a hug. Now I can
clean her ears no problem. When I want a hug I call her over
and ask for a hug, she sits in front of me and lowers her head
I give her a nice hug with a chest rub. I can't believe how she
has changed. She was not a lovable puppy or youngster, I had
never had a dog that was like that. She has turned into a real
buddy. Will post a pic soon.
Connie: Thank you for your kind words. It was difficult taking
care of Mom but if I had to do it all again I'de do it in a
heat beat, I just couldn't imagine putting her in a nursing
home.( no offense to that industry). I decided not to go back
to work so me and Luna spend alot of time together. She is
76 lbs, I'm 105 lbs but I have taught her to walk nicely with
me and to be "gentle" going down stairs and walkways. Just by
saying "gentle" she knows slowley. If someone would have told
me that Luna would turn out to be this way I would have called
them nuts. I guess hard work really does pay off and believe
me Luna was hard work as you may know from my previous posts.
Im sorry for your Luna loss.
