Lori Hall Webboard User Reg: 06-12-2007 Posts: 1039 Loc: So. California coast Offline	Hi everyone, I am helping a friend who took in a rescue dog a few weeks ago. Their vet doesn't really know what breeds are in this dog, and I'd like to know as they are asking for some training help. He is 7 months old and has some 'issues' that need to be worked on, and I think it would help if we knew some of his natural instincts. There is a head of him and a body shot - the body shot is dark and hard to see, but hopefully it will give you an idea of what he looks like! He is 40 pounds. Thank you! http://imgur.com/a/cNmEj

Betty Landercasp Webboard User Reg: 11-30-2009 Posts: 3724 Loc: minnesota Offline	The eyes look northern, "spitz-husky-chow" and so does the tail, but he has a thinner coat, not a double coat it doesn't seem, and that is really dominant in all those dogs. The face is a bit narrow for the Akita but there is a couple other Inu’s that are smaller and quite similar. I’d also agree with a shepherd mix. With the floppy ear tips and facial marks, maybe Australian. However, there are Goldens with black tongue markings. Purebred might be pushing it.

What is his approximate weight at 7 months? I've been trying to figure out what mix my pup is too...hard to do.
