Hello all,
I just watched a Pedigree food commercial. Apparently, they are now adding "more" nutrition to their food. That raised an eyebrow. So, what were pedigree food customers feeding their dogs prior to this change? This just boggles my mind.
It's kind of funny and sad at the same time. Alot of people feed their dogs that crap, and think it's the best thing in the world. And there seems to be an over abundance of people that go out of thier way to buy the absolute cheapest dog food they can find with the worst possible ingredients, and call it good. Very sad imo. Poor animals don't get a decent quality food, and people wonder why they have health problems. I'm of the opinion that I'd call it neglect.
Sorry, I have strong opinions about people that don't really care about their animals.

Not neglect. It is just not knowing any better. If you don't know any better then there is no urge to research.
I've fed every cheap food under the sun and can promise that it isn't a matter of not caring.
I live in Australia.. is the pedigree here the same would anyone know? I was told by a vet that its one of the best of the supermarket brands. I have tried doing research but can't find much material.
ok thanks Michael, I currently dont use pedigree but I have in the past and always thought it was one of the better brands. Would you know of the amount of protien, fats etc I should look for or know where I could find out? I tried searching the site for it but the search engine said it wasnt working

I guess I must think in a different way, because imho taking care of an animal that is totally dependant on YOU for EVERYTHING , it just seems logical to do your research or gain some sort of factual information on what your undertaking. I equate it to getting married without knowing anything about the other person. Who would make such an important decision blindly? But hey , maybe ignorance is bliss.
