That was an opinion?????
I thought Will might get a charge out of it, he has a bit of experience with a couple of dogs in the last couple generations..
<shrug> The amount of people that can give an informed opinion on that breeding is small. The "big" names are a few generations back, the more recent ones lean towards police dogs.

I like that!!!........
My journey with Annabelle has been a trip.... ROFL My saving grace with her is that underneath that fur and teeth beats a heart that is eager to please her owner.
And if she can make me look like a dufas doing that, it's just icing on the cake to her. LOL
It's a shame her grandfather did not get more breedings with working dogs. I've had a couple of people who worked him tell me that they thought he was the best Grim son they had worked.
You can look at the ped's and look at them but then you roll the dice.
Last fall, I drove from NE Ohio to New Jersey to talk to Wilfed Scheld, a very respected Koermeister. We had him at a conformation trial a few years back. He had the uncanny ability to predict what the dog's behavior would be like just from scanning the pedigree -- it almost always matched what I saw in the dogs on the field. Wilfred's uncle, Alfred Lahntal, also bred Natan, Saugus and Grief. So, he was very familiar with those lines. His pick matched mine. ;D
I'm hoping for some good things from matching up Nikki with a Tom Van't Leefdahlhof son. I'm seeing behaviors I really like so far. I'm hoping for good longevity too -- both of the stud's parents lived to be over 14. Nikki's lines also have a number of longer-lived dogs. Hopefully in 2025, I'll have a good report.
