Today helga had a go at a real tug for the first time. I got her to do some basic obedience for the tug. It was very hot , but she was a good sport and kept at it.
As always your comments and critiques are sought after.
How old is she? A couple of things that I see (and I am not expert). First of all you need to help her a bit by building drive for the toy. Second, during heeling you reward away from you in the forward direction, pretty soon she will start to forge in anticipation. It might be better to reward behind you or in the position you want her head to be. Another thing I saw was heavy use of body language during obedience commands, unless there is a need for visual cues, try to use verbal only commands and keep your body movements very matter of fact.
