Stephanie Bishop Webboard User Reg: 03-01-2011 Posts: 156 Loc: tx Offline	so i have been spying out all the comentary on raw foods and decided this was the weekend i would start. "cold turkey" I have notice one big difference. he is calmer. Is that normal or should i be worried?

It's not at all an unusual change, especially if the kibble had white potato or white rice or grain fractions ..... dogs are subject to the same kind of "sugar rush" that we are. That is, refined (and simple) carbs trigger energy spikes and crashes in dogs, too. The protein and fat and appropriate produce that make up a raw diet provide sustained energy instead.

Edmond Kan Webboard User Reg: 07-09-2008 Posts: 59 Loc: England Offline	i noticed that too in my dogs. kibble seems to make them a little 'agitated' like a little kid who had too much candy... my dad (even though he doesn't really like dogs) goes out of his way to keep back any raw food for my dogs... poos smaller, + they love it...
