It's not at all an unusual change, especially if the kibble had white potato or white rice or grain fractions ..... dogs are subject to the same kind of "sugar rush" that we are. That is, refined (and simple) carbs trigger energy spikes and crashes in dogs, too.
The protein and fat and appropriate produce that make up a raw diet provide sustained energy instead.
