large oak tree fell over and totaled the kennels, all the puppers were inside the house for the storm. got 'net, no power, on generator, hope everybody else is ok
Rain is letting up here (northern nj)... the town will probably flood, impacting major access roads. Our power is back on (after a 2 hour outage) and the dogs and cats are ok.
Been thinking about you, Dennis, and all our other members on the East Coast. It's too bad about the loss of your kennels, but I'm glad to hear the humans and the dogs are all okay.
You, too, Marj. Glad you're all okay.
I hope our other members who were in the path of Irene will check in as they are able. I know there are much more important things to take care of right now, but I can't help worrying about all of you.

You’re going to be quite the kennel maker once you’ve got these ones all repaired too. Don’t know if you have a wood stove but sounds like you don’t have too go far for this year’s winter burning supply if you do.
Happy to hear that everyone’s okay. Like Cheri, I hope others check in. Irene sounded like a nasty lady in some areas.

power is still out here, but I'd have to say the crews are out in force, you can't go two miles without seeing a crew and a bucket truck, one of them hit my mail box, he said we should have power this evening. the power went out at the plant at 1420 and its still off. anybody in the central Va area shouldn't expect a lot of mail monday. I told them to call when the power is back so I can start the machines for them.
