We did it! We passed our CGN!
Sasha and I tried our CGN test on Sunday and passed with flying colours. Sasha is only 9 months old and the judge said Sasha was one of the best dogs she had tested that day. I'm not sure if the other dogs were really bad but I like to think Sasha was just really good.
We also got talked into trying the Novice Obedience class. I have no experience with showing but figured what the heck, why not? We ended up with a final score of 148 out of 200. Sasha has never done a "stand for examination" but I figured just tell her to stand-stay and walk to the end of the leash. She stood perfectly staring directly at me but then I messed it up. When the judge told me to return to my dog, I didn't know I was supposed to go around behind her. Oh well, live and learn.
We watched a Rally-O class and when the class was finished I asked if I could try it with Sasha and the judge said she would help take me through. Sasha did really well and the judge wondered why we hadn't entered the class in the first place. I really like the Rally stuff so I'm going to try to find somewhere close to me to train for it properly.
Congrats to you!
I have to tell you when the Pinker passed his CGC I thought I would burst into tears which is ridiculous. It has taken SO much work to get him to accept touch. Without Leerburg methods it never would have happened.
