Terra's blood was even lower today 17. So she is a blood transfusion and some medication and a few tests. If this doesn't seem to give her a boost and help her, we have no other choice but to put her down. She may have Evans disease, her platelets are low too. We have no more money to spend so we are doing the best we can and hopes this will help and give her some time to reboot her system. She is at the vet now and I will pick her up later.I'd be more specific about her treatment, but I do not have the list of what are doing to her with me because I haven't checked her out yet. We are sad. We wished we were rich so we could really get more help for her, but on the other side of that, we do not want to have her suffering just to keep her around with us. So, like so many of you have experienced, we face the choices and look what is best for her.
continued prayer appreciated. Terra is the dog on the left in this picture.

Oh, Sharon, I am so sorry that you and Terra are going through this. It's never easy to fight something keeps eluding you. And the choices are never easy to make either.
A few years ago, my Lab X Shyner had a mystery illness. She was dying, and we didn't know what it was. Connie got tons of freaked out emails and PMs from me, I read the Merck manual from front to back, and I prayed. Oh, how I prayed.
Shyner went through alot including ultrasounds, liver biopsy, and being litterally bombed with antibiotics. I began to think about the ultimate decision - if she didn't respond to treatment I would have to let her go.
But she did respond eventually, and she is with me still. The thoughts, the fears, the memories of the sleepless nights I spent holding her listening to her whimpers, memories of Paul carrying her up and down the stairs or setting her on the bed ... it all comes back to me whenever one of the dogs gets sick.
I know what you are going through, and if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask!! The hardest, yet most important advice I got, was from Connie, who told me to keep it upbeat when I was with Shyner. It was hard, but I did my best to hide my fears from her so she didn't have that to stress her out even more (I cried on my Malinois Caterina who accepted my tears with her usual good grace).
I will continue to pray for you and Terra. Hugs to you both.
Sharon,
I am so sorry for you and Terra. I do not doubt you will make the right choice for her if it comes to that. I am praying the transfusion and meds help; she is absolutely adorable as are all your fur babies. Healing wishes to all of you!

I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. She looks like such a sweet pup! Strength vibes to you all! Whatever the outcome, she is a dog who is loved and cared for. How much more can we ask?
