For horror movies!!!!!
I'm a horror movie junky and complete gore hound. wWth my inability to break my nocturnal habits from the summer (and a school and work schedule that almost lets me get away with that) I'm been working my way through netflix streaming online watching pretty much any horror movie that has at least one review over 1 star....
Here's what I've watched in the past few days, what are you watching in the horror holiday spirit?
Bikini Girls On Ice: ...pretty much what the title is....this movie makes little sense, has probably the most sedated psycho killer I've seen in the movie in a while. He spends most of the movie teleporting around and humping freezers while stabbing people. It also has er...."interesting" acting...and lots of boobs which is pretty much the only reason anyone would have clicked on this film in the first place...
Trespassers: Concept is interesting, execution is off. It's a sort of supernatural meats hills have eyes sort of thing that takes place in Mexico, the stupidity of the characters kind of kills this one, if you are being chased my homicidal zombie cannibals in the middle of the night that have perfectly normal vision, you do not make a bonfire visible for miles around and have sex in front of it...then act really surprised with said homicidal zombie cannibals find you...
Mask Maker: Okay, for a B movie this one is kind of fun. It's "we killed a witch in this house but she cursed us, new people move in and now this is the housewarming party from hell" It's extremely stupid but overall sort of fun. It has crazy but helpful locals, okay special effects and gore, completely unlikable characters who really want to die, and an ending that just didn't end....
Carver: Take the movie "Wrong Turn" try to give it a complicated plot involving snuff films, add some never explained "key plot points" and you get Carver....I still can't figure out the whole part about the snuff films and why this group of kids was in the woods in the first place, and what the whole thing about the bar was about, and why no one in this fictional woods knew how to clean a bathroom...
Vampire Boys: I got 20 minutes in and laughed so hard I had to run to the bathroom, I wasn't able to turn it back on....these vampires make sparkleboy from twilight look attractive....
High School Of The Dead (Anime Series 12 episodes first season): I really wanted to like this. It's beautifully animated, the zombies are actually zombies (no zoombies that zoom around like track stars), the concept is very fun, the characters are very unrealistic but cliche "anime character" types which is fun.....however the panty shots and bouncing breasts that clearly have the consistency of pudding in balloons actually take away from it. I kept expecting cheezy music to start after almost every scene, it's actually kind of gross. However if you can overlook that it's a fun series and the episodes are short with little filler.

I LOVE horror films, I don't like things like Wolf Creak, you know, the sick 'based on true story' films, ghost stories based on true life accounts, paranormal stuff, love!
'The Grudge' is one of my favourites but it didn't really scare me, I have given the kids a challenge... buy a horror film that REALLY scares me!
Any suggestions Jamie??

Not a movie, but very clever (and beautifully drawn). It is in english, scroll down to read

Tracey, if you liked The Grudge have you tried some of the other asian horror movies? The Grudge is a remake and in the style of the original just with American actors. I really liked Imprint but it's disturbing, I mean nailbed torture disturbing... I liked the short Dumplings as well. For ghosty horror The Orphanage is nice but a little traditional. You may also want to try A Tale of Two Sisters
I don't really get scared by horror movies but there's ones I really enjoy and love thinking about. The Dawn of the Dead remake is one of those, one of my favorite movies of all time 28 Days Later is another...Aaaand I'm also a gore hound....I love Hostel more than anyone should....

The first horror film I had ever seen in a theater was called "Mark of the Devil" I was not even supposed to be in the theater I was way to young. You've had to have seen the "Exorcist" I did the day it came out that's a classic.
What about all the "Saw" series those are really good you have to see the Saw's.
I think Saw kind of justice for the thieves of GS Hex.......

Nice Jamie you like some good ones, how about a similar to Dawn of the Dead Night of the living dead.
You've probably seen em all by the sounds of it.

See? It makes you feel sorry for the zombies, right?
One time I saw a Gary Larson Far Side cartoon where a couple are walking along the beach and come across clear tracks of where a shark has actually left the water, slithered up to a beach blanket, and dragged the sunbather back into the water with him. (Yes, he's a good artist. lol)
The person seeing this hideous evidence says: "Oh the poor thing -- he must've been half starved."
