We have a Shmoobie!
My wife and I picked up our ACD puppy from Ingrid this weekend, and we couldn't be happier....( except for the 10 hour drive there! )
I am used to very competent breeders that breed to high standards ( Betty and Ed/Cindy come to mind ) but Ingrid was just *amazing*. The socialization that was done with this litter was incredible - Ingrid has more kiddy toys and children's outdoor furniture than most daycares and these puppies have seen *everything* by seven weeks, man, talk about bombproof puppies!
I knew that Ingrid had chosen the correct puppy for me ( and the right handler for this puppy ) within two minutes of handling him, and that was a very good feeling let me tell you - I've been lucky to have gotten dogs that were well-chosen for me by the breeder, I still remember Betty letting Frannie run to me as a puppy when I first saw her, it was about the cutest moment of my life.
Potential buyers had gotten a near weekly update from Ingrid about the development of the individual puppies during the past seven weeks and she was spot on regarding their various drives and temperaments.
After spending two days with Ingrid and the puppies, we left with an inch thick three ring folder that Ingrid had put together for each puppy, complete with breed information, training and puppy advice, and enough history of the sire and dam's lines to write a small novel about - plus puppy toys, blankets with the litter smell, food, water, and finally......homemade jam!
This is going to be a *fun* puppy for me to train, I got the litter thug ( now really, who's surprised by that? ) he let me know right off the bat that he was not to be trifled with....and I let him know the same, lol!
