The Picture's are of him doing his PLACE command. He totally understands it. I can go outside ect. Great for when the kids are home and I want to give him some freedom from the kennel.
He knows: Here,Foose, Fooy,Packen,Out,Platz and Passoff all commands are german of course. He's doing puppy bite work still. He started with a tug and now will bite a wedge while on a harness. His grips are very strong. Passoff he knows loosely as he's a pup still.
We've come a long way and I've calmed down a ton. I think most of my worries were over money and spending that much on a dog. Once we bonded I lost all that and we love each other and he minds most of the time. He's quite the lap dog at times!
I know the feeling when I first got my pup I thought what did I get my self into. I don't what I would do if it was a mal
It cool that you got things together and having a great relationship with him it is all worth it in the end!
Nick drove up to training. the helper in pic playing tug w/ Gambit is just learning. we drag the dogs over the boxes lots of fun. indoor training is nice this time of year 12 rooms each has different objects
Gambit is a nice dog. slow maturing
As the former(retired) head trainer of the IDOC K9 unit i'm not going to allow a puppy to be worked incorrectly or be hurt
the helper does a great job, he works a lot of police dogs
the handler's like the way he works dogs.just not a lot of years.
i should have said he's not a trial helper but a good safe
training helper real good with weak or shy dogs
