Here is a video I made for two people who may be taking puppies from me. I have three more to place and not getting any solid leads. Scary thought. Till they are with me, I will train them two to three times a day in skills that I consider important.
The first bit of the video is some thing you have already seen. Puppies learning what "NO" means. The second part is me teaching them to be calm and stable. As you can see it does not take much effort on my part. I am starting to think that it is in these dog's blood to be attentive.
As always please let me know if I am making any mistakes.
Unfortunatly, since I am at work, I am unable to watch the video. All I know is, if I lived closer, I'd have me a pretty and well started sighthound. You put so much thought, care and compassion into your dogs, I bet these pups will be amazing when they mature.
Did all the puppies make it Ram? She had a litter of six right and I have only seen five of the babies in the last two videos. It's also a possibility that I cannot count due to the distraction of my children. maybe I'll use the method in this video with my boys.
All the puppies made it. But I had to give one to the stud dog provider. He was so keen on getting his money for the puppy , that he kept nagging me. He would not wait for 45 days. Or he demanded a huge sum of money if I had to keep the puppy till 45 days.
Finally I wanted to get rid of his head ache and gave him a pup. I was literally in tears when I gave him the puppy. I know that I will never hear from that puppy's owner again.
Anyway, the good news is tomorrow some one is coming to pick up a female puppy and I like this man. He seems to be genuinely interested in the dog and I believe he will provide a good home. I will not be in tears when I give one of my girls away.......well may be a little bit.
